Dr Ian Short

Lecturer

I completed my PhD degree in 2005, working under supervision of Professor Alan Beardon at the University of Cambridge. I was then a post-doctoral researcher for three years at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, working with Professor Anthony O'Farrell. After that I worked with Professor David Spiegelhalter and Mike Pearson at the University of Cambridge on the Understanding Uncertainty project. In 2010 I obtained a lectureship in mathematics at the Open University, a job that I still hold today.
